HUBUNGAN TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN IBU HAMIL TENTANG KOLOSTRUM DENGAN MOTIVASI PEMBERIAN KOLOSTRUM DI BIDAN RAKTIK MANDIRI (BPM) SURYANI KOTA JAMBI TAHUN 2021

World Health Organitation (WHO) merekomendasikan, semua bayi perlu mendapat kolostrum (Ibu menyusui satu jam pertama) untuk melawan infeksi yang diperkirakan menyelamatkan satu juta nyawa bayi. Lebih dari 90% ibu-ibu membuang kolostrum dan memberikan makanan padat dini. Pengetahuan ibu yang kurang terhadap kolostrum atau karena kepercayaan yang salah, menyebabkan banyak ibu yang baru melahirkan tidak memberikan kolostrum kepada bayinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan tingkat pengetahuan ibu hamil tentang kolostrum dengan motivasi pemberian kolostrum di bidan praktik mandiri (BPM) suryani kota jambi Tahun 2021.
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian analitik dengan menggunakan cross sectional. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Bpm suryani pada tahun 2021. Waktu penelitian ini di laksanakan bulan November 2021. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh ibu hamil trimester III di bpm suryani sebanyak 30 orang ibu hamil. Tehnik pengambilan sample menggunakan tehnik total sampling yaitu seluruh populasi dijadikan sampel sebanyak 30 ibu hamil. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis secara Univariat dan Bivariat menggunakan uji Chi Square.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar responden memiliki pengetahuan yang baik tentang kolostrum sebanyak 22 responden (73,3%) dan sebagian besar responden memiliki motivasi yang tinggi tentang pemberian kolostrum sebanyak 16 responden (53,3%). Ada hubungan tingkat pengetahuan ibu hamil dengan motivasi pemberian kolostrum di Bpm suryani pada tahun 2021 dengan p value 0,007 < 0,05.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tingkat pengetahuan ibu hamil mempengaruhi motivasi pemberian kolostrum. Untuk itu, diharapkan dapat dijadikan sebagai salah satu bahan dalam memberikan pendidikan kesehatan tentang kolostrum karena masih ada ibu nifas yang memiliki pengetahuan ibu tentang kolostrum dalam kategori cukup. Peningkatan pengetahuan ibu tentang kolostrum dapat dilakukan pihak BPM khususnya tenaga kesehatan bidan dengan memberikan penyuluhan dan pengarahan pada ibu nifas yang semakin intensif.

The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends that all infants need to receive colostrum (mothers breastfeed for the first hour) to fight infections which are estimated to save one million babies' lives. More than 90% of mothers discard colostrum and give solid food early. Lack of knowledge of mothers about colostrum or because of wrong beliefs, causes many mothers who have just given birth not to give colostrum to their babies. This study aims to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge of pregnant women about colostrum with the motivation to give colostrum in the independent practice midwife (BPM) Suryani Jambi City in 2021.
This research is an analytic study using cross sectional. This research was conducted at BPM Suryani in 2021. The time of this research was carried out in October 2021. The population in this study were all pregnant women in the third trimester at BPM Suryani as many as 30 pregnant women. The sampling technique used total sampling technique, namely the entire population was sampled as many as 30 pregnant women. The collected data were analyzed by Univariate and Bivariate using Chi Square test.
The results showed that most respondents had good knowledge about colostrum as many as 22 respondents (73.3%) and most respondents had high motivation about giving colostrum as many as 16 respondents (53.3%). There is a relationship between the knowledge level of pregnant women and the motivation to give colostrum at Bpm Suryani in 2021 with a p value of 0.007 < 0.05.
The results of this study indicate that the level of knowledge of pregnant women affects the motivation to give colostrum. For this reason, it is hoped that it can be used as one of the ingredients in providing health education about colostrum because there are still postpartum mothers who have sufficient maternal knowledge about colostrum. Increased knowledge of mothers about colostrum can be done by BPM, especially midwives by providing intensive counseling and guidance to postpartum mothers.
