HUBUNGAN PERAWATAN TALI PUSAT BAYI BARU LAHIR DENGAN KEJADIAN INFEKSI DI PUSKEMAS MUARA JERNIH KECAMATAN TABIR ULU KABUPATEN MERANGIN JAMBI TAHUN 2021

Infeksi tetanus merupakan salah satu penyebab kematian ibu dan kematian bayi. Di Indonesia angka kejadian infeksi bayi baru lahir berkisar 24% hingga 34%, dan angka kematian bayi disebabkan infeksi sebesar 7,3%. Perawatan tali pusat yang tidak memenuhi persyaratan merupakan faktor utama risiko terjadinya infeksi tali pusat.Pemberian ramuan tradisional, abu dapur dan sebagainya dapat menyebabkan infeksi dan tetanus yang dapat berakhir dengan kematian neonatal.
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian analitik dengan desain cross sectional untuk mengetahui Hubungan perawatan tali pusat bayi baru lahir dengan kejadian infeksi di Puskemas Muara Jernih Tahun 2021. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh ibu yang memiliki bayi baru lahir di wilayah kerja Puskemas Muara Jernih Bulan Oktober dan November Tahun 2021 yang berjumlah 32 orang. Sampel diambil dengan teknik total sampling. Penelitian dilaksanakan bulan Januari 2022 di Puskemas Muara Jernih Tahun 2022. Pengumpulan data dengan wawancara menggunakan lembar ceklist/daftar tilik. Hasil penelitian dianalisis secara univariat dan bivariat.
Dari hasil penelitian didapat adanya hubungan perawatan tali pusat bayi baru lahir dengan kejadian infeksi di Puskemas Muara Jernih Tahun 2021 dengan nilai p-value 0,000. Dengan masih terdapatnya bayi yang mengalami infeksi tali pusat dan kurang baiknya perawatan tali pusat yang dilakukan orangtua. Diharapkan petugas di Puskesmas agar meningkatkan penyuluhan dan sosialisasi tentang perawatan tali pusat bayi baru lahir, sehingga kejadian infeksi tali pusat tidak lagi terjadi sehingga dapat menurunkan angka kematian bayi.

Tetanus infection is one of the causes of maternal and infant mortality. In Indonesia, the incidence of newborn infections ranges from 24% to 34%, and the infant mortality rate due to infection is 7.3%. Umbilical cord care that does not meet the requirements is a major risk factor for umbilical cord infection. Giving traditional ingredients, kitchen ash and so on can cause infection and tetanus which can end in neonatal death.
This study is an analytical study with a cross sectional design to determine the relationship between umbilical cord care for newborns and the incidence of infection at the Muara Jernih Health Center in 2021. The study population was all mothers who had newborns in the working area of the Muara Jernih Health Center in October and November 2021. totaling 32 people. Samples were taken by total sampling technique. The research was carried out in January 2022 at the Muara Jernih Public Health Center in 2022. The data was collected by interview using a checklist/checklist. The results of the study were analyzed by univariate and bivariate.
From the results of the study, it was found that there was a relationship between newborn umbilical cord care and the incidence of infection at the Muara Jernih Health Center in 2021 with a p-value of 0.000. There are still babies with umbilical cord infections and the lack of good care for the umbilical cord by parents. It is expected that officers at the Puskesmas to increase counseling and socialization about newborn umbilical cord care, so that the incidence of umbilical cord infection no longer occurs so as to reduce infant mortality.
