FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI PENGGUNAAN ALAT PELINDUNG DIRI PADA PEKERJA KELAPA SAWIT DI PT. BERKAT SAWIT UTAMA TAHUN 2021

ABSTRAK (BAHASA INDONESIA)

Kecelakaan kerja di industri kelapa sawit di Indonesia masih tergolong tinggi. Hal ini diakibatkan karena potensi risiko dari alat kerja, lingkungan kerja dan lain-lain. Itulah yang terjadi di PT. Berkat Sawit Utama dimana kecelakaan kerja terus meningkat setiap tahunnya. Sebagian besar penyebab dari terjadinya kecelakaan kerja di perusahaan ini adalah kelalaian dalam menggunakan alat pelindung diri.(APD) dan juga kurangnya informasi mengenai keselamatan dan kecelakaan kerja (K3). Maka dari itu tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apa saja faktor yang mempengaruhi penggunaan alat pelindung diri (APD) pada pekerja.
Jenis penelitian ini adalah survey analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional dengan uji chi-square menggunakan derajat kepercayaan 95%. Metode penelitian ini dilakukan dengan teknik pengambilan sampel simple random sampling dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 83 responden.
Hasil uji statistik didapatkan terdapat hubungan promosi keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja dengan tingkat pengetahuan pekerja tentang penggunaan alat pelindung diri p value 0,000 (p <0,05), terdapat hubungan tingkat pengetahuan dengan tingkat kepatuhan pekerja tentang penggunaan alat pelindung diri p value 0,000 (p <0,05), terdapat hubungan promosi keselamatan dan kerja dengan sikap pekerja tentang penggunaan alat pelindung diri p value 0,002 (p <0,05), terdapat hubungan sikap dengan tingkat kepatuhan pekerja tentang penggunaan alat pelindung diri p value 0,000 (p <0,05), terdapat hubungan promosi keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja dengan tingkat kepatuhan pekerja tentang penggunaan alat pelindung diri p value 0,001 (p <0,05). Diharapkan kepada pekerja untuk dapat meningkatkan pengetahuannya tentang alat pelindung diri agar dapat mencegah terjadinya kecelakaan kerja.

Work accidents in the palm oil industry in Indonesia are still relatively high. This is due to potential risks from work tools, work environment and others. That's what happened at PT. Berkat Sawit Utama where work accidents continue to increase every year. Most of the causes of work accidents in this company are negligence in using personal protective equipment (PPE) and also the lack of information about work safety and accidents (K3). Therefore, the purpose of this study was to find out what factors influence the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) for workers.
This type of research is an analytic survey with a cross sectional approach with a chi-square test using a 95% confidence degree. This research method is done by using simple random sampling technique with a total sample of 83 respondents.
The results of statistical tests found that there was a relationship between the promotion of occupational safety and health with the level of knowledge of workers about the use of personal protective equipment p value
0.000 (p <0.05), there was a relationship between the level of knowledge and the level of compliance of workers about the use of personal protective equipment p value 0.000 (p < 0.05). 0.05), there is a relationship between safety and work promotion with workers' attitudes about the use of personal protective equipment p value 0.002 (p <0.05), there is a relationship between attitudes and the level of worker compliance about the use of personal protective equipment p value 0.000 (p < 0, 05), there is a relationship between the promotion of occupational safety and health with the level of worker compliance regarding the use of personal protective equipment p value 0.001 (p <0.05). It is hoped that workers will be able to increase their knowledge of personal protective equipment in order to prevent work accidents.
